The shed skin, is it like paper, just like paper,
Like the substance that is quiet and meek, just like paper?

If a sheet of paper on a table, as substance,
Gradually changes form due to thoughts, emotions, and skin temperature,
The fibers irreversibly altered by external forces, becoming an unreplicable appearance,

Then, can this be considered the beginning of life?
So, when we are left with only the outer layer, can we return to substance?

Such pure, simple substance, or life,
Like people seeking light in the darkness Through light, we are able to see form

Its name is The shape of things.
