The Wildness Hidden in the Fingertips / Wild

Located in Pordenone, Italy. Cordenons launched a fine paper product in 2012 called “Wild”, and meanwhile, this special promotional sample book was also released.This sample book uses animals in the wild as its theme. It caressingly balances the galloping actions of prairie and the stillness of image on the paper.The most obvious feature of Wild is that it contains 35% cotton. It has a moist and fluffy touching feel, and the neutral white surface; therefore in offset printing, it has a very dazzling performance. It is quite suitable for any theme that is related to animals or theme that requires emphasis in hand touching senses.

The highest substance is 850gsm. For embossing and hot foil techniques, it shows excellent results. Even the hair along the back of the horse’s body can be clearly displayed on the paper.It must be mentioned that there is a fluffy feeling when touching the surface of the paper, also the texture contains fibre, hence it creates a feeling that is close to touching the real hair. In the occasion where the design involves the combination of visual and touching senses, an unbelievably well effect can be achieved. Just like this zebra pattern, when touching this image a false impression similar to that of touching a real zebra is created. This is the most amazing aspect of the product.

In Taiwan, hot foil and embossing techniques can have very good effects even in small details. This is a real example of Wild being used in the Taiwanese printing industry. It is the director’s design project for a private pet salon. However, the issue that needs to be aware of is that the paper has very high ink absorbency.Other than the need to pay attention in selecting the glue during the laminating process, when using inject printing, the colour plate’s injection rate needs to be adjusted.

潛伏於指尖的野性 / 狂野紙 Wild

在2012年，義大利Pordenone的紙廠 Cordenons，誕生了以「Wild」命名的美術紙系列，並同時推出了這份特別的宣傳紙樣本。「Wild」在中文的意思為：狂野、野性之意；此次樣本以野生動物為主題進行一系列的設計，將奔騰於草原的「動」和印刷於紙上的「靜」，取得相當微妙的平衡。「Wild」的最大特徵，在於它擁有35%的棉、溫潤蓬鬆的手感、以及中性白色的紙面；所以在四色膠印的表現相當亮眼，相當適合搭配關於動物或是需要強調手感的主題。而最大基重到850gsm，對於凸版印刷或是燙金的加工，呈現出來的效果相當優異，可以看到在背脊細緻的毛髮處，都能清楚地在紙上做呈現。值得一提的是，在觸摸紙面能感到鬆軟，而且具有纖維的紋路與接近毛絮的感覺，若是在設計上將視覺圖像與觸覺的感官相結合，可以獲得意想不到的良好效果，像是這張斑馬紋一樣，在觸摸時居然有著近似撫摸實際斑馬的錯覺 ，是令人最驚奇的地方。

在台灣，即使用於燙金或凸版加工，在細節上也能有相當良好的表現，此為「Wild」一紙在台灣使用的實例，由所長替一間私人寵物沙龍進行設計，但實務上需要注意的問題是，紙張的吸水性相當高，除了用於黏合類的加工，在膠的選用調配上需要特別注意以外，使用噴墨類的印刷在色版的放墨量需要特別調整。

指先に潜む野性 / Wild

2012年、イタリアのポルデノーネにある紙工場コルデノンスから「Wild」と名付けられた美術紙シリーズが誕生し、同時にこの特別な宣伝用サンプルも発表されました。「Wild」という言葉は、中国語で「狂野」や「野性」を意味します。このサンプルでは、野生動物をテーマにした一連のデザインが施されており、草原を駆け抜ける「動」と紙に印刷された「静」との絶妙なバランスが取られています。

「Wild」の最大の特徴は、35%のコットンを含む温かみのあるふわふわとした手触りと、中性的な白の紙面です。そのため、四色オフセット印刷の表現が非常に鮮やかで、動物に関するテーマや手触りを強調する必要があるテーマに非常に適しています。最大厚さが850gsmに達するため、活版印刷や箔押し加工にも非常に優れた効果を発揮し、背中の細かい毛の部分まで紙上で明確に表現することができます。

特筆すべきは、紙面に触れると柔らかさを感じるとともに、繊維の質感と毛羽立ちに近い感覚がある点です。デザインにおいて視覚的なイメージと触覚的な感覚を組み合わせることで、予想外の良い効果を得ることができます。例えば、このシマウマの柄のように、触った時に実際のシマウマを撫でているかのような錯覚を覚えるのは非常に驚きです。

台湾においても、「Wild」は箔押しや活版印刷加工で非常に良好な表現を見せています。これは台湾での「Wild」の使用例であり、工場長がプライベートペットサロンのためにデザインしたものです。しかし、実際に使用する際には注意すべき点があります。紙の吸水性が非常に高いため、接着加工に使用する際には接着剤の選定と調整に特別な注意が必要です。また、インクジェット印刷を使用する場合、インクの量を特に調整する必要があります。
